Unit Details

Progressive Care Unit
15-bed unit with 3 step-down ICU beds and 12 telemetry beds
Typical ratios: 1:4 for Progressive Care and 1:3 for Step-down ICU

Schedule

Scheduled 36 hours per week after the first week of orientation
No guarantee of hours
No call

Key Responsibilities

Primary nursing care
Telemetry monitoring
Telemetry strip reading
Fingerstick blood sugar checks

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Hawaii
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
ACLS
NIHSS

Preferred Qualifications

Progressive Care experience
Telemetry experience
PALS

Floating

May float to all acute units in house, including Medical, Surgical/Peds, ICU, and ER

Equipment / Systems

Meditech charting
Pyxis medication system
BIPAP
Continuous cardiac monitoring

Dress Code

Scrubs

Start Timing Note

Must arrive the Thursday before start for an employee health appointment on Friday
