Surgical Tech (CVOR Tech) - North Dakota, Fargo

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Assist surgeons and healthcare team members in providing effective surgical care in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR).
• Primary patient population: Cardiovascular.
• Perform surgical and operating room duties according to established policies and procedures.
• Primary procedures include orthopedics, plastic surgery, and ENT (both pediatric and adult).
• Experience with at least one of the following systems required: Zimmer, Depuy, Biomet, or Stryker total replacements.

Work Schedule

• 10-hour day shifts.
• May need to stay late to assist with scheduled cases (considered an extension of the regular shift, not call back).
• On-call 1 to 2 shifts per week.
• Work every 4th or 5th weekend.
• Potential to float to other operating rooms when cardiovascular cases are slow.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience.
• BLS certification (AHA).
• Must be on the North Dakota Board of Nursing Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) Registry at least one week prior to start date; proof of application required within 3 business days of offer acceptance.
• Experience working in a large hospital (250+ beds) and a level 2 or higher facility.

Additional Information

• Clinicians living within 60 miles of the facility are not eligible.
• Clinicians living 60 to 80 miles away will have a reduced travel rate.
• Must note in submission if previously worked for this facility; if so, there must be a 6-month gap since last employment.
• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility.
• Scrub color provided: Ceil Blue.
