Job Opportunity: Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Location: Bakersfield, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Specialty: Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Work Schedule:
- 8-hour day shifts (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
- No block scheduling
- Rotating weekday call after 4:30 PM
- Rotating weekend and holiday on-call duties
Department Info:
- 1 scanner/room
- May be floated to a nearby location (~6.5 miles away)
- Common imaging/studies: Cardiac, SPECT, bone scan, bleed studies, gastric emptying
- Average scans per day: 5-10
- Equipment used: GE scanner
- EMR/PACS systems: Radnet & Merge Unity
- Radiologist available in-house
- No IV starts required
- Scrub color: Teal (dayshift)

Required Qualifications

Valid Nuclear Medicine Technologist license in California (CA NMTL)
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, including experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Additional Notes

No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRA) used in the department
Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
