Required Qualifications

  • RN license
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification
  • Moderate sedation experience
  • Experience managing conscious sedation in IR
  • Experience charting, circulating, and doing pre- and post-procedure care for IR
  • Radiation badge must be supplied and in hand prior to start

Preferred

  • NIHSS

Clinical Details

  • Average volume: 5-10 cases per day
  • Common patient types and procedures: inpatient, outpatient, and emergent cases; Stroke Thrombectomy; Embolizations; Lines; Tubes; Visceral; Para; Thora; Biopsies; drain insertions; chest tubes; CT and US areas
  • IR techs are available
  • Interventionalist coverage: Intensivitst MD in house 24/7; IR always available; on call after hours

Scheduling and Call

  • Shift options: 2x10-hour shifts, 2x8-hour shifts, or all 8s
  • Shift times: 0700-1530 and 0600-1630
  • Scheduling: team scheduling, posted 17 days prior for 6 weeks at a time
  • Weeknight call: 1-2 days per week
  • Weekend call: every third weekend
  • Holiday call: every other holiday
  • Call response time: 30 minutes

  • Radiology pre/post

Additional Notes

  • Prescreen + auto offer
  • RTO: 7 days or less upfront for the 13-week contract; additional RTO will not be approved
  • Orientation: one week of classroom and lab
  • Scrub color/dress code provided
  • Team lead is present in the lab; supervisor and lead sign time cards
  • Bring your own lock for the locker and hospital-designated shoes
