Registered Nurse - Step Down (Travel)

Location: Fort Smith, Arkansas
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

Specialty: Step Down
Shift: Night
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Call Requirements: As needed by unit
Float Requirements: Medical-Surgical unit
Patient Ratio: 5:1
Electronic Medical Record (EMR): EPIC
Dress Code: Black scrubs

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Arkansas
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 1 year of experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within the last year
Experience caring for post-cardiovascular surgery patients
Skilled in titrating cardiac drips including Nitro, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Esmolol

Required Skills and Experience

Experience caring for post-cardiovascular surgery patients
Skilled in titrating cardiac drips including Nitro, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Esmolol
Proficient with Bipap and Airvo respiratory support devices
Ability to recognize and respond to deteriorating patients

Work Environment and Culture

Unit supports a dynamic and fast-paced care setting
