Registered Nurse – Med Surg Telemetry

Location: Lake Havasu City, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (36 hours/week)
Weekend Requirement: 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week period
Call Requirements: None scheduled; possible shift flex to on-call up to twice during contract
Patient Ratio: 1:6
Unit Beds: 40
Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients

Unit & Work Environment

• Specialty: Medical/Surgical Telemetry
• Float Expectations: Must float to other units including Intermediate Care (IMC) and Emergency Department (ED)
• Equipment: Baxter IV pumps, Posey bed/chair alarms, Omnicell drug dispensing cabinet, Zoll defibrillators
• Electronic Health Record (EHR): Medhost
• Patient Types: Total joint replacement, surgical patients, acute coronary syndrome (ACS), acute on chronic conditions (CHF, CKD), alcohol withdrawal, systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS), gastrointestinal bleeding (GIB)
• Dress Code: Black scrubs (top and bottom); open shoes not allowed

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience, including telemetry experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one travel nursing assignment
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Acute care nursing experience
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Additional Notes

• No block schedule requests accepted; 48-hour shifts can be considered but are not guaranteed
• Facility is a Joint Commission Accredited community hospital with 171 beds and Level 3 Trauma designation
