Job Overview

  • Travel RN position in Birmingham, Alabama
  • 13-week contract
  • 36 hours per week
  • Night shift: 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
  • Every other weekend required
  • No call required
  • Float as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Alabama
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Oncology (2 years of experience)
  • Oncology experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • NIHSS
  • Med Surg experience

Preferred Experience

  • Acute care experience

Unit Details

  • Oncology unit
  • 18 beds
  • Typical patient ratio: 6:1
  • Patient population includes oncology, palliative, post-op bariatric, and Med/Surg overflow

Work Environment

  • Uses Epic
  • Basic equipment includes computer, IV pump, and vital sign machine
  • Navy scrubs required
  • Only scrubs and scrub jackets are allowed
