PCU - Progressive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Cardiac patient populations experience
Chest tubes experience
Cardiac drips experience

Preferred Experience

Cardiac patient populations
Chest tubes
Cardiac monitoring and cardiac drips
Cardiac stepdown populations
PCU/stepdown patient populations
Low-level ICU skills

Unit Details

Cardiac IMCU / medical-surgical telemetry setting
36 beds
Patient ratios: 1:5-6 for cardiac patients and 1:3-4 for PCU/stepdown patients
Telemetry monitoring equipment

Patient Population

Cardiac, trauma, and stepdown patients
Common cases include chest pain, VATS, stroke/TIA, pre- and post-open-heart surgery, pacemakers, heart blocks, vascular conditions, and CHF

Work Environment

Teamwork is emphasized
Blue or navy scrubs required
Blue jeans are not allowed
