Overview

Travel RN role in PCU
29-bed unit in the Main Hospital
36 hours per week
13-week contract
1:4 patient ratio ideally, currently 1:5
Staff self-schedule, with preference for 3 night shifts in a row

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Georgia
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS
Familiarity with cardiac drip and insulin drips

Unit Details

Unit staffing includes unit secretaries and PCT
Uses Meditech
Equipment includes Alaris IV pumps, Welch Allyn VS machines, bladder scan, and vein finder
Floating is to areas of competency
Royal Blue Scrubs required
No artificial/gel nails

Responsibilities

Provide safe, high quality, compassionate care
VS every 4 hours, or more frequently based on patient condition
Blood glucose checks as ordered
Required documentation and assessment every shift
