Job Overview

• Location: Somerset, Kentucky
• Employment type: Travel
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 7am
• Guaranteed hours: 36 per week
• Weekend requirement: 2 weekend shifts per month
• Call: None
• Float requirement: Mother/Baby Postpartum
• Orientation: Weekly on Mondays
• Travel eligibility: Candidates must live 60 miles or more from the facility to be considered for travel

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Kentucky
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
• 2 years of NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience
• NRP
• BLS
• STABLE
• Mother/Baby Postpartum experience
• Post Partum experience

Experience / Skills

• Level 2 Special Care Nursery or higher NICU experience
• Ability to attend deliveries and initiate/run NRP resuscitation

Patient Population

• Neonates, full term, early term, and pre-term

Unit Details

• 8-bed special care nursery
• Patient ratio: 1:2 to 1:3

• NAS/NOWS
• TTN
• IV antibiotics
• Bubble CPAP
• OG/NG feeds
