Overview
- Travel assignment in Austin, Texas
- 13-week contract
- Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 36 hours per week
- No on-call requirement
- Rotating weekends
- Facilities approval may allow 36 or 48 hours
Unit Details
- Emergency Services unit
- 48 private rooms, 27 hallway stretchers, 9 fast track, and 5 behavioral health spaces
- Patient ratios: 1:4 ED, 1:5 BH, 1:3 cardiac/trauma
- Permanent positions exist on the unit
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ED - Emergency Department (1 year of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- ACLS
- BLS
- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI)
- ENPC
- NIHSS
- PALS
- TNCC
Preferred Qualifications
- Meditech experience
- Trauma experience
- Holding inpatient experience
- CPI
Commonly Performed Procedures
- Splinting
- EKGs
- Central monitoring
- Trauma assists
- Central lines
- Airway support
- Behavioral health de-escalation
- Morgan lens
- Rapid infuser use
- Resuscitation
Work Environment
- Navy blue scrubs for RNs
