Position Details

• Specialty: Emergency Department (ED)
• Shift: 7 PM – 7 AM
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: Rotating weekends
• Call Requirements: None
• Number of Openings: 1
• Float Requirements: May float to Med Surg if Med Surg experience is present
• Patient Population: Varies, including basic pediatric ED
• Patient Ratios: Lower than normal (5 beds total)
• Equipment: Standard
• EHR System: Medhost

Required Qualifications

• License: Registered Nurse License valid in Tennessee
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – required for basic pediatric ED
• Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
• Additional Requirements:

  • Must be checked against the Tennessee Abuse Registry prior to assignment start
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI) and NIH Certification preferred

Notes

• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays
• Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff
