Cardiac Sonographer II - Travel Position

Location: Scarborough, Maine (Outpatient sites vary within the region)
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Perform moderate-complexity echocardiographic exams independently in an outpatient setting. Recognize abnormal findings and exercise sound clinical judgment.

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Sonography or equivalent experience
• ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac sonography (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• Minimum of 5 years of cardiac ultrasound experience (higher value between 5 years and 2 years)
• Experience performing transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress echocardiograms
• Comfortable starting IVs and administering Definity contrast
• Familiarity with Philips EPIQ ultrasound systems and Epic EMR preferred

Work Schedule & Expectations

• 5 days per week, approximately 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Outpatient site location varies within Scarborough, Kennebunk, and Biddeford
• Expected daily volume: up to 7 full echocardiograms and 1 limited echocardiogram per day, including completion of prereads on all studies
• Ability to work independently with minimal onboarding
• Adherence to established protocols, documentation standards, and quality expectations
