Job Description

Physical therapists diagnose and treat individuals of all ages with medical or health-related conditions that limit movement and functional activities. Responsibilities include:

• Evaluating and conducting medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs
• Developing treatment plans to promote mobility, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability
• Providing education on injury prevention, ergonomics, restorative and rehabilitation therapy
• Supervising physical therapy assistants and aides
• Working in various healthcare settings including hospitals and outpatient clinics

Requirements

• Must hold a valid Alabama Physical Therapist license
• Minimum of 2 years recent PT experience, preferably in a hospital setting
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• State licensure required for practice

Contract Length

• 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)

Additional Notes

• Experience with inpatient and outpatient care is required
• No weekend shifts
• Must meet facility submission requirements for consideration
