Physical Therapist Travel Job - Austin, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 7-10 hours, weekdays/weekends with weekend rotation (1-2 weekend days per 4 weeks, pending utilization)
Target Start Date: ASAP
Unit Overview
- Setting: Inpatient Rehabilitation (IPR), Outpatient (OP), and Acute Care
- Beds: 64 IPR beds; 400 acute care beds; full outpatient services
- Staff: Approximately 160 staff members
- Patient Care: About 75% direct patient care per 8-hour shift
- Specialty Focus: Neurology experience required (Spinal Cord Injury, Brain Injury, Stroke Rehab)
- Typical Procedures: Coordinate with interdisciplinary team, follow schedules, meet productivity standards, manage time effectively
- Equipment & EMR: Not specified
- Dress Code: Scrubs in Caribbean Blue
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Texas
- Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Experience in Acute Care, Outpatient, and Rehabilitation settings
- Neuro background with experience in Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) and Brain Injury (BI)
- Stroke rehabilitation experience
- Experience working across multiple settings (Acute, IPR, and OP)
- Ability to transition between multiple programs on any given day
- Understanding of Inpatient Rehabilitation (IPR) post-acute guidelines
Preferred Skills and Attributes
- Ability to transition between multiple programs/settings during the day
- Understanding of IPR post-acute guidelines and CARE tool assessment
- Organized, friendly, team-oriented with strong communication and collaboration skills
