Travel RN - Tele Surgical Transplant

Unit: Transplant/Stepdown (34 beds)

Job Details

• Employment Type: Travel
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 7 PM - 7 AM (Night Shift)
• Patient Ratio: 1:3-4
• EMR System: Meditech

Unit Information

• 34 beds with approximately 50 staff members
• Night shift staffing example: 1 Charge RN, 3 RNs, 2 CNAs, 1-3 sitters
• Equipment includes bladder scanners, Mobilabs for lab draws, EKG machines, AccuVein, Virtual Sitter Cameras, W.O.Ws, Hoyer Lift, Sara Stedy Lift, Sit to Stand Lift

Required Qualifications

• Specialty: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Years of Experience: Minimum 2 years in Med/Surg/Telemetry or related specialty
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Certification
• Licenses: Valid Registered Nurse License
• Experience caring for patients with Heparin drips and PCA’s is required

Preferred Qualifications

• Stepdown/PCU experience
• Experience with Solid Organ Transplant patients (kidney, liver, or pancreas)

Typical Procedures

• Wound and drain care (including wound vac, chest tube, JP drains)
