Unit Information

Department: Respiratory Services
Number of Beds: 854
Number of Staff: 120
Shifts:
- Day Shift: 15-20 RRTs for Adult service lines, 3-4 RRTs for NICU/Peds
- Night Shift: 12-16 RRTs for Adult service lines, 3-4 RRTs for NICU/Peds
Patient Ratios: 10 - 25 patients per therapist
Equipment Used:
- GE R860 Adult ventilators
- Draeger Infant/Peds ventilators
- Newport HT70 transport ventilator
- V60 Non-invasive device
- Vapotherm and Comfort Flow high flow oxygen devices
EMR System: Cerner
Floating Areas: All Critical Care units and floors
Dress Code: Medium Gray/Pewter scrubs
Weekend Requirement: At least 4 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule

Required Qualifications

Valid Respiratory Therapist license in North Carolina
Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
Experience working with Adult patients
BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

Additional Notes

Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
Typical procedures involve care across adult, neonatal, and pediatric populations using advanced respiratory equipment.
Candidates without the required NC Respiratory License and certifications will not be considered.
