Overview

• Travel/Contract role in Paterson, New Jersey
• Night shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
• 36 hours per week
• 13-week contract
• Auto offer: Yes
• Accepts locals within 50 miles, with a $5 rate reduction
• Does not accept first-time travelers

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in New Jersey
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• One completed travel assignment
• ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
• ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• PALS issued by American Heart Association
• TNCC
• NIHSS
• Experience working with Adult patients
• Experience working with Pediatric patients
• Experience in a(n) Acute Care or Level 1 Trauma or Level 2 Trauma setting
• Experience with triage
• Experience with STEMI
• Experience with stroke
• Adult ED experience in a large academic center
• Pediatric ED experience
• Level I or Level II Trauma Center experience
• Pediatrics ER - Emergency Room experience
• Flu vaccine required
• Must float to any area within skillset, including ED boarding and observation areas
• Must float between Paterson and Wayne campuses as needed
• Every other weekend required
• RTO, block, and scheduling requests must be included at time of submission
• No blocked scheduling

Preferred

• Cerner/FirstNet charting familiarity
• 8 Stroke CEU’s total for ER
• NIH Stroke Certification
• Tdap vaccine within 10 years of start
• Lot number and expiration date preferred for Tdap documentation

• Emergency Department
• 88 licensed treatment beds
• Surge capacity to approximately 125 patients
• Urban academic acute care teaching hospital with an ED Residency Program
• Care includes ED, observation, and admitted boarding patients
