Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse

Location: Anniston, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 8 weeks

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, no weekends
• Day shift: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM (5 days x 8 hours = 40 hours/week)
• Call requirements to be discussed during the interview

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Alabama
• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Background check within 6 months covering all locations lived/worked in the last 7 years, including Social Security Trace, State Nationwide Criminal, and National Sex Offender checks
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required with all aliases
• Official transcript, diploma, or third-party education verification required
• Primary source verification of state license and NURSYS verification prior to start
• Physical exam within 12 months of start date
• Fit mask testing within 12 months of start (annual renewal not required by client)
• Immunizations/vaccinations required:

  • Tdap (within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test (Qgold, Tspot, or PPD within past 12 months)
  • MMR (2 vaccines or positive titer)
  • Hepatitis B series, titer, or declination
  • Varicella (2 vaccines, history of chickenpox, or positive titer)
• Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination required year-round; decliners must wear a mask at work
• Skills checklist required annually (not required for non-clinical roles)

Additional Information

• Local radius for travel: 60 miles
• Must review and sign traveler attendance policy prior to start
• Competency exams required as applicable to specialty
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement required to meet Joint Commission standards (not client-mandated)
