Job Opportunity: Ultrasound Tech - General

Location

Required Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Obstetrics & Gynecology ultrasound

Prior Travel Experience

  • First-time travelers are accepted (no prior travel experience required)

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Ultrasound Technologist license in North Carolina
  • Ultrasound Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience, including experience within the last year
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) certification
  • Experience working with high-risk patients
  • Experience in an outpatient setting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification or experience in Nuchal Translucency Screening (ARDMS FE, NT)

Work Schedule

  • Monday to Friday, 7:45 AM to 4:30 PM (40 hours per week)
  • 45-minute meal break
  • No call or weekend requirements
  • Float requirement applies

Job Details

  • Work setting includes OB/GYN patients with level 1 OB and GYN scans
  • Must be prepared to work as part of a Storm Team or Hurricane Team during catastrophic events or disasters
  • Scheduling is based on clinic needs
  • Scrubs are not provided; any color is acceptable

Compliance and Onboarding Requirements

  • Background check within 6 months prior to start (clinical candidates)
  • Drug screening within 6 months prior to start (9-panel acceptable)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start; additional documentation required for past positives
  • Required immunizations and titers: Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
  • Physical exam and references required per travel agency standards
  • Completion of facility-specific education modules and compliance training
  • Photo for badge (passport style, white background, business attire) required immediately after signing contract
  • Must complete password setup and login to facility’s learning system (I-Learn) within 24 hours of receiving credentials
  • Medication Safety training completion required prior to start
  • Confidentiality agreement and hospital policies acknowledgment required
  • Radiation badge required if applicable (not typical for this role)

Additional Notes

  • No return-to-office (RTO) after booking allowed; call-offs or additional RTO may result in cancellation
  • Interview with hiring manager required before offer
  • Candidates may be reassigned mid-contract based on facility needs
