Job Details

• Start Date: ASAP
• Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) plus 2 Fridays per 6-week schedule
• Floating: May occasionally float to nursery/baby transition role if delivery volumes are high (routine baby care, assessments, breastfeeding support, labs)
• Charting System: EPIC (experience preferred)
• On-call: Not required
• Locals Accepted: Yes
• Block Scheduling: Possible at manager’s discretion
• Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off once per two-week pay period
• Scrub Color: Any color; L/D & OR scrubs provided
• Parking: Free

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Minimum 2 years of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience, with at least some experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Fire Card (must be obtained prior to or within 30 days of start)

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; updated annually
• Drug screen (9 panel) within 12 months of start
• Education verification required for nursing degree
• Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
• Immunizations and health documents required:

  • TDAP (within 10 years or declination accepted)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (annual updates required)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
  • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
  • Flu vaccine during flu season or declination
  • COVID vaccination record preferred (declinations accepted)
• Respiratory safety clearance required annually for travel candidates
• WA and OR state-specific background and licensing requirements apply if applicable

Additional Notes

• Pending licenses are not accepted
• RTO (Return to Office) restrictions must be included at submission
• Candidates may be required to complete annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS
• Photo for badge required (passport style with neutral background)
• Prior travel experience is not required
• NICU candidates will not attend deliveries
