Job Description

• Specialty: Registered Nurse in Radiology procedures including Interventional Radiology, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and Pre/Post Phase 2 Recovery
• Care Setting: Both inpatient and outpatient care
• Responsibilities include:

  • Prep and recovery of procedural patients
  • Moderate sedation for Interventional Radiology cases (CT, US, IR)
  • MRI monitoring of pacemaker patients
  • Anxiolysis for exams and medication administration for nuclear medicine patients
  • Assisting with anesthesia for select patients
  • Managing biopsies, tubes, lines, drains, lytics, thrombectomies, neuro, body, vascular, and liver embolizations
  • Use of Air pal for safe patient movement in IR rooms and ceiling lifts in CT rooms
  • Monitoring with NK monitors including EtCO2 monitoring
• Charting system: Epic (experience required)
• Shift: Day shift, 4 shifts per week, 10 hours each (either 07:00-17:30 or 08:00-18:30)
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5
• Floating: No floating outside scope of practice
• Block scheduling: Not accommodated
• Weekend requirement: Occasional on-call if able
• Locals: Not accepted within 100-mile radius
• Pending license accepted
• Return to office restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Minnesota
• Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology nursing experience, with experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
• Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Summary

This is a 12-week travel contract for an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Interventional Radiology and related radiology procedures. The role requires day shifts of 10 hours, with a 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio, and involves both inpatient and outpatient care. Candidates must have at least 1 year of specialty experience, current MN RN licensure, ACLS and BLS certifications, and meet comprehensive health and background screening requirements. Epic charting experience and completion of required preorientation modules are mandatory. The position does not accommodate block scheduling or floating outside the specialty scope.
