Cath Lab Tech Travel/Contract Position
Location: Conway, South Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, primarily 4 days on 9-hour shifts (4x9), occasionally 3 days on 12-hour shifts (3x12) depending on department needs
Hours: Typically 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM with on-call rotation for evenings and weekends
Job Summary

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist.
- Must have Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year.
- Must hold a valid South Carolina state license appropriate for Cath Lab Tech.
- ARRT certification required for Cath Lab Tech/Radiology roles.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (ARC, AHA, or US Department of Defense).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Government-issued photo ID must be carried during hours of service.
- Proof of E-Verify or attestation required.
- Background check: 7-year criminal history check within 1 year of start, updated annually, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years. International checks if applicable.
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated with each contract renewal.
- Primary source verification of state license required.
- National certification verification (ARRT) required.
- Medication/pharmacology competency exam as applicable.
- Color blindness testing required; facility must be notified of failure.
- Physical exam within 12 months prior to start, confirming ability to work without restrictions.
- Fit mask test within 3 months of start (except MLT). Fit tests can be completed onsite with prior approval.
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start, updated annually. Acceptable tests include 2-step PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or T-spot. Special provisions for past positive TB.
- Immunizations/vaccinations required or documentation of immunity/declination:
- Measles (Rubeola): 2 vaccines or positive titer (exempt if born before 1957)
- Mumps: 2 vaccines or positive titer (exempt if born before 1957)
- Rubella: 2 vaccines or positive titer (exempt if born before 1957)
- Hepatitis B: Titer, vaccine series, or declination accepted
- Varicella: 2 vaccines, positive titer, or history of chickenpox
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years of start
- Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start (instant drug screen acceptable).
- Seasonal flu vaccination or facility-specific declination required during flu season (9/1 - 3/31). Unvaccinated candidates must wear masks when working within 3 feet of patients during high flu volume times.
- COVID-19 vaccination preferred but not required; documentation should be collected if vaccinated.
Onboarding & Orientation
- Completion of a facility-specific short form application required prior to start.
- Completion of onboarding forms and online orientation modules ("New Beginnings") required no later than Monday at noon EST before Tuesday start.
- If technical issues prevent completion before start, onsite completion may be allowed with prior notification.
- Agency job description must be signed and dated prior to start.
- Photo for badge: clear, passport-style photo with solid background required.
References & Evaluations
- Two professional references required within 2 years of start for travel positions.
- Performance evaluations required if previously worked with the facility over 1 year.
- Internal evaluations required if previously worked with the facility over 2 years.
