Pediatric OR Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - Indianapolis, Indiana

Job Summary

• Position: Pediatric OR Registered Nurse
• Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 12 weeks
• Shift: Day shift, primarily 4x10 hour shifts (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM) with an option for 5x8 hour shifts (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
• Facility Type: Level I trauma center with specialties including ENT, Urology, Plastics, General Surgery, Orthopedics, Trauma, and Neurosurgery
• Patient Population: Neonates, infants, toddlers, children, adolescents, and some adults
• Surgical Cases: General, Urology, Endo/Laparoscopic, Plastics, ENT
• Equipment Experience: Stealth, DaVinci, ROSA

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Indiana
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including OR experience within the last year
• Pediatric OR experience
• Completion of at least one travel assignment
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Scrub experience

Additional Important Information

• Travel Experience: First-time travelers are NOT accepted; prior travel experience required
• Shift Flexibility: Option to work 5x8 hour shifts instead of 4x10s
• Facility Policy:

  • Indiana RNs will not be allowed to start new contracts after 9/9/2024 except for Periop/OR, Allied, and Ambulatory RN travelers who are exempt from this rule
• Unit Environment:

  • Handles complex surgical procedures including ECMO, burn procedures, tumor resections, and trauma cases
• Documentation:

  • Valid driver’s license or passport required
  • Completion of facility-specific orientation and compliance forms prior to start
• Local Traveler Note: Indiana residents may be offered a reduced rate (not included here)

This position is ideal for experienced pediatric OR nurses with trauma and neuro experience who have prior travel contract experience and hold an active Indiana RN license.
