Travel Occupational Therapist (OT) - Skilled Nursing Facility

Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide occupational therapy services in a skilled nursing facility with hospital-level resources.
• Evaluate and treat patients with various diagnoses focusing on restoring function, improving independence, and enhancing quality of life.
• Work in a collaborative, interdisciplinary rehab team environment.
• Patient ratio approximately 10-15.
• Weekends required as needed.
• Float: No.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Occupational Therapist license in California.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapist, including experience within the last year.
• At least 1 year of experience in Occupational Therapy within a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) specialty.
• Experience in acute care, amputee care, arthritis, CVA rehabilitation, and adaptive equipment.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Required Certifications & Documents

• Background check within 6 months covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in past 7 years.
• Education verification or official transcript/diploma.
• Physical exam within 1 year of start.
• N95 respirator fit test within 1 year (for patient contact).
• Immunizations/vaccinations: Tdap (within 10 years), MMR (measles, mumps, rubella), Varicella, Hepatitis B (titer and vaccine series).
• TB screening: 2 PPDs or equivalent within 12 months.
• Drug screening: 9-panel within 6 months.
• COVID-19 primary series and booster vaccines required (exemptions accepted).
• Seasonal flu vaccine or declination during flu season.
• Orientation safety manual acknowledgement.
• National certification verification as applicable.
• Other certifications such as ACLS, PALS, NIH Stroke Certification may be required or preferred depending on unit.
