Job Opportunity: CT Technologist

Location: Columbus, Ohio
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Work schedule: 3 shifts per week, each 12 hours (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM), typically Saturday, Sunday, plus one additional day (Friday or Monday) depending on coverage needs.
  • Rotating holidays required.
  • Must be able to float to different units as needed within the organization.
  • Work settings include outpatient, inpatient, emergency room, and teaching hospital environments.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience with X-ray procedures on extremities, abdomen/GI, spine/pelvis, head, chest/thorax, etc.
  • Proficient in IV start and contrast administration.
  • Experience with Siemens equipment/scanners.

Required Certifications & Licenses

  • Valid CT Technologist license in Ohio
  • Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (AHA only; Instructor/Provider and RQI acceptable)
  • AART certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
  • Experience in outpatient and inpatient settings
  • Proficient in contrast administration

Background & Compliance Requirements

  • 7-year criminal background check within 90 days of start, including sex offender registry and motor vehicle record if driving is required.
  • Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG monitoring.
  • Pending background check attestation required if fingerprint results are pending at start.
  • Fingerprinting must be completed using Ohio BCI & FBI codes; results must be clear prior to or at start.
  • Subcontractors must provide proof of fingerprinting completion.
  • Fraud, Waste, and Abuse training certificate required prior to start and updated annually.
  • Ethics and compliance policies must be reviewed and signed annually.

Additional Requirements

  • Two professional references required; at least one must be from a manager or formal leadership role.
  • Employment application required for all candidates, including education details for nursing candidates.
  • Skills checklist required.

Shift Details

  • Day shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
  • Total hours per week: 36

Notes

  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
  • COVID-19 vaccination is strongly recommended but not required.
  • Candidates must be prepared for rotating holiday shifts and floating to different units.

This position is ideal for CT Technologists with strong radiology skills, Siemens equipment experience, and the ability to work flexible weekend and holiday shifts in a dynamic hospital environment.
