Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - IMC Stepdown

Location: Thomasville, Georgia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks (approximately 3 months)
Shift: Nights, some weekends and holidays
Start Date: Approximately 3 weeks from offer
Schedule Options: 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts
Travel Distance: Candidates within 30 miles will not be accepted

Job Description

• Work in Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Stepdown
• Minimal to no Return to Origin (RTO) allowed (must be included on submission)
• Required skills include:

  • Foley catheter management (Intermediate level)
  • IV starts
  • Lab draws/sample collecting
  • Experience titrating critical drips

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
• Minimum 1 year of recent Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Foley catheter management at intermediate level
• IV start experience
• Experience titrating critical drips

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Proof of identity and eligibility to work (I9, government-issued photo ID)
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, education verification, and federal exclusions (EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG)
• State license primary source verification and NURSYS verification for RNs
• Physical exam within 1 year and updated annually
• Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• TB testing (QGold or TSPOT within 30 days; no PPDs accepted) and TB questionnaire within 30 days
• Immunizations or proof of immunity for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination)
• Flu vaccine required during flu season unless approved medical/religious exemption is provided
• Fit test for masks completed onsite at no cost
• Photo for badge (passport-style, shoulders up, no selfies) required within 24 hours of signing

Additional Requirements

• Completion of facility-specific health and safety training modules prior to start
• Annual competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency testing
• Two recent supervisor/manager references verified within 12 months
• Employment application/resume and skills checklist updated annually
• Facility-specific forms including IS115 and IS119 (time sensitive, wet or DocuSign signature required)
• Adherence to dress code and other facility policies

Notes

• Candidates 31-50 miles from the facility may experience a reduction in pay rate (not disclosed here)
• Fingerprinting requirements apply for certain roles; candidates must complete fingerprinting promptly with a 30-day grace period for results
• Candidates must be able to start with results pending if fingerprinting is not complete at start date
