Registered Nurse (RN) Infusion – Day/Night Rotating Schedule
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (approximately 13 weeks)
Job Details
- Schedule: 36-hour day/night rotating shifts, every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH)
- Specialty: Oncology infusion nursing
- Experience Required:
- Minimum 2 years oncology infusion experience in an academic medical center (AMC)
- At least 1 year outpatient infusion experience
- At least 1 year prior travel nursing experience required
- Skills:
- Strong IV insertion and assessment skills
- Experience with complex gastrointestinal (GI) chemotherapy regimens
- Certification: Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) certification required
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 2 years of infusion experience, including infusion experience within the last year
- Experience in an outpatient setting
- Oncology experience
- Gastroenterology experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) certification
Additional Notes
- Positive TB test requires documentation of a negative chest x-ray after the positive test
- Name change documentation may be required if legal name differs from credential documentation
- Fit testing cannot be performed onsite; must be completed prior to assignment start
- Prior travel nursing experience is mandatory for this role
This position is ideal for experienced oncology infusion RNs with strong IV skills, outpatient infusion background, and prior travel nursing experience seeking a rotating day/night schedule in a major metropolitan area.
