Job Opportunity: RN Labor and Delivery (Travel)

Location: Saginaw, Michigan

Job Description

• Provide patient care before, during, and after labor and childbirth.
• Assist, support, and educate women during the four stages of delivery, recovery, and postpartum.
• Monitor patients using high-tech diagnostic equipment.
• Document all patient data in the EMR system.
• Spend one-on-one time with birthing women.
• Collaborate with lactation consultants to assist with breastfeeding.
• Work schedule includes every other weekend/holiday with 3 shifts of 12 hours each (36 hours weekly).

Required Certifications and Licenses

• Current RN license (Nursys verification required)
• AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Certification

Preferred Certifications

• NCC (National Certification Corporation) certification is a plus.

Experience Requirements

• Prior experience in a Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP) setting is required.
• Years of experience: Not explicitly stated, but implied to require relevant LDRP experience (assume at least 1 year).

Additional Requirements

• Completion of facility-specific exams and quizzes related to unit protocols, blood glucose monitoring, patient restraints, blood product administration, medication administration, and respiratory medical evaluation.
• Compliance with personal health history requirements including COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine, Varicella, TB test (optional), and annual TB questionnaire.
• Background checks including criminal background, education and employment verification, GSA, OIG, sex offender registry, and professional references.
• Drug screening (Rapid 10 panel within past 12 months).
• Driver’s license or government-issued photo ID.
