Overview

Travel contract for an experienced Labor & Delivery / Postpartum nurse in California
13-week assignment
Night shift
12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

Active California RN license
BLS
ACLS
NRP
AWHONN
2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery / Postpartum
Must be able to circulate for C-sections
Experience in both Labor & Delivery and Postpartum
No first-time travelers

Schedule & Work Setting

Every other weekend
Floating between Labor & Delivery and Postpartum
3 shifts of floor-specific orientation
9 Labor & Delivery beds
4 Postpartum beds
No triage beds

Clinical Environment

About 55 births per month
High-risk deliveries
Patients are 34 weeks and above
Birth plans are commonly followed
Charge nurse does not take a patient assignment
OB tech support on day and night shifts
OB/neonatologist on call
Respiratory therapy available 24/7
No IV team
No call requirement

Additional Notes

COVID vaccine required
Hospital-provided scrubs
