CT Technologist (Computed Tomography) - Travel Contract

Location: Santa Maria, California
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift
Hours: 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week


Job Description

Seeking an experienced Radiology/CT Technologist for a travel assignment. The role involves performing a variety of imaging studies including all X-ray and CT scans. Work schedule may occasionally require weekend and holiday shifts based on facility needs.


Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiology/CT Technologist
  • Active California state license for Radiologic Technologist (CRT)
  • Certifications required:
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
    • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) with CT certification
    • Fluoroscopy license
    • RDMS (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer)

Work Environment & Equipment

  • Imaging modalities include X-ray, CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, and Ultrasound (except perinatal ultrasound)
  • Use of Cerner EMR, DR PACS, and Phillips imaging equipment
  • Radiology department staffed with a supervisor and 24/7 Radiologic Technologist coverage
  • Hospitalist and Intensivist physicians available in-house
  • Pharmacy available 24/7
  • No IV team support

Schedule Details

  • Typical shifts for Radiology/CT: 10 or 12 hours
  • Weekend and holiday work as needed, sometimes requiring all weekends
  • 10-hour day shifts standard for this position

Additional Notes

  • Imaging performed includes all X-ray and CT studies
  • Other imaging specialties in the department include MRI, Nuclear Medicine, and Ultrasound, each with their own shift lengths and responsibilities
  • Fluoroscopy license is mandatory for this role due to procedural requirements
