Unit 1 South
Telemetry and Neurology (NEURO) unit
32 beds

Required Qualifications

RN
BLS (AHA)
ACLS
NIHSS
Neurological care experience
Ability to titrate drips such as Amiodarone, Heparin, Insulin, and Cardizem

Schedule

Every other weekend or less
Holiday coverage on a rotation
Floating required
May be on call as a last resort

Patient Population

Cardiac
Neurological/stroke
Seizure

Equipment / Workflow

High Flow and BiPAP used for less than 24 hours
Nurses read their own cardiac strips each shift using GE telemetry monitors
No on-unit Tele/Monitor Techs
