Ultrasound Tech/Sonographer Travel Position

Location: Reno, Nevada
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Role: Perinatal Sonographer
• Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM; Friday, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM (Friday shifts can be full or half days)
• No call and no weekend shifts required
• May be required to float within competency level to meet organizational needs
• May need to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during the schedule period
• Employer reserves the right to cancel shifts with 48 hours' notice due to low census during the 13-week contract

Responsibilities

• Perform all sonographic examinations as ordered by physicians, including clinic and inpatient scans
• Acquire and analyze ultrasound data, producing high-quality diagnostic information
• Generate reports using PACS system and collaborate with physicians for patient diagnosis and management
• Prepare examination rooms, clean up, and sterilize equipment as needed
• Ensure patient safety and well-being during sonographic procedures
• Address patient care issues and coordinate with healthcare team members
• Recognize and respond to emergencies, involving physicians as appropriate
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with privacy policies
• Serve as a communication liaison between physicians and patients
• Responsible for daily operations of the sonographic laboratory and equipment performance
• Adhere to all applicable healthcare policies, procedures, and laws

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, including experience within the last year
• Experience in both clinic and inpatient settings
• Experience in Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonography
• ARDMS certification
• BLS certification
