Job Opportunity: RN - First Assist

Location: Las Cruces, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit and Role Information

Department: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
Role: Surgical Tech (RN - First Assist)
Number of Openings: 1
Shift: Varies
Call Requirements: Every other week, including weekends
Float Requirements: May work in the main OR if no CVOR cases are scheduled
Required Certifications: Certified Surgical Tech, ACLS, BLS, OR First Assist Certification
Years of Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in specialty
Patient Population: Not specified

Required Skills and Experience

Experience with open heart procedures including:
- Coronary artery bypass grafts
- Aortic and mitral valve surgeries
- Lung procedures

Additional Information

The facility is a Joint Commission Accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI and a Certified Primary Stroke Center.

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico
Minimum of 1 year of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) First Assist experience, with experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
OR First Assist Certification
