• Travel RN in Med Surg
• Auto-offer
• 3 openings
• Nights, 1900-0730
• 36 or 48 guaranteed hours per week, as indicated on the submission form
• 13-week assignment
• Weekend hours as required by the facility, every other weekend
• No call
• May be floated to other units depending on staffing needs
• Inpatient only

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Med Surg experience within the last year
• 1 year of Med Surg experience
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Experience in an inpatient setting
• Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications

• ACLS from AHA only

Unit Details

• Floor: IP Med Surg East
• 15 beds currently, with 15 beds under construction
• Patient ratio: 1:5-6 on days, 1:6-7 on nights
• Patients: Med/Surg patients
• Equipment: Nova Meters for blood glucose, Alaris IV pump, Kangaroo pumps, SCD machine
• EMR: EPIC

Additional Information

• Flu vaccination or Mercy-approved exemption required for all travelers from November 1-April 1; declinations are not accepted
• Night shift orientation is on day shift, and the traveler must be available the entire week for orientation
• Black scrubs required
• No open-toed shoes
• RTO of 5 days or less must be made up on the back end
• Holiday RTO: 1 request per assignment
• Blocked scheduling may be approved based on facility requirements
• High-risk exposure to blood and body fluids
• Physical demands include standing and walking most of the time, bending and stooping, lifting and turning patients with assistance, and pushing, pulling, and gripping up to 50 lbs; pinch up to 15 lbs; kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally
