- Patient ratio: 4:1
Required Qualifications
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Virginia
- Occupational Therapist (2 years of experience)
- Occupational Therapist experience within the last year
- BLS
- OTR Certification
- Experience in a(n) Hospital setting
- Stroke evaluation and treatment
Preferred
- Hospital and inpatient rehab experience
- Black scrub bottoms and royal blue top preferred
Clinical Focus
- Stroke evaluation and treatment
- Manual therapy for neuro re-ed
- Therapeutic exercise
- Functional activity
- Neuromuscular re-ed
- Self-care
- Functional e.stim
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- 8-hour shifts between 7am and 5pm
- Weekends rotate
Float Scope
- May float to acute hospital if rehab census is low
Unit Details
- 10 OT/PT teams
- 3 speech therapists
- 1 tech
- Equipment includes Sara Lifts, Ceiling Lifts, Bioness, and Diego

- Uses Meditech Expanse
- Patient experience expectations include AIDET communication and immediate service recovery
- Joint Commission Stroke Certification
