Travel assignment in Asheville, North Carolina
Unit: CICU
16 beds
36 hours per week
12-hour shifts
Alternating weekends
Travelers float to all areas

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
CVICU (2 years of experience)
CVICU experience within the last year
ACLS
BLS
NIH Certification
Titration of vesicant medications
Familiarity with pressors
Experience with sedation
Experience with paralytics
Experience with ventilators
Experience with tracheostomies
Telemetry interpretation
Understanding of hemodynamics and PA catheter setup and interpretation
Experience with transvenous pacing
Experience with cardioversion

Preferred

IABP
Impella
CRRT

Unit Details

RNs only; no HUC or PCT
Scrub colors: all navy or navy and white
Documentation system: Cerner
Equipment includes ventilator, telemetry, Baxter IV pump, IABP, CRRT, Impella, and hypothermia
Must have experience with titration of vesicant meds, pressors, sedation, paralytics, vents, trachs, telemetry interpretation, hemodynamics, and PA catheter setup and interpretation
Procedures performed on the unit include cardioversion, central line insertion, EGD, bronchoscopy, chest tube insertions, pericardiocentesis, and thoracentesis
