Schedule

• 12-hour day shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend and holidays
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Med Surg (2 years of experience)
• Med Surg experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• Experience working with Level 2 Trauma patients
• Recent hospital experience
• Post-surgical care experience
• Experience with Epic

Clinical / Unit Details

• Post-surgical care unit for pre- and post-surgical adults and geriatric patients
• 40-bed inpatient unit
• Typical patient ratio: 1:4 or 1:5 on days/evenings; 1:5 to 1:7 on nights
• Fast-paced unit with 10–15 admissions per day
• Average length of stay: 2–3 days, except joints
• Float to all inpatient units

Charting / Equipment

• Epic required
• Uses medication scanning and infusion pumps

Additional Notes

• May be low censused in 4-hour increments
• Scrub color: any color
• During flu season, travelers who decline flu and COVID vaccination must wear a mask at all times
