Medical Lab Tech

Contract

• 11 weeks
• 3rd shift
• 40 hours per week
• 10-hour shifts

Job Summary

• Performs laboratory procedures with minimal technical supervision.
• Responsible for quality control, instrument maintenance, specimen procurement and processing, and blood collection as needed.
• Interprets and verifies test results, investigates abnormal or inconsistent results, and reports potential problems promptly.
• Maintains clean and organized workstations.
• Supports training of students and new employees.
• Participates in error detection, investigation, documentation, and process improvement.
• Communicates effectively with leadership and coworkers, including timely reporting of issues or delays.
• Completes continuing education annually.

Required Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology with internship, or combined military experience and training aligned with CLIA and CAP requirements
• Medical Lab Technician (1 year of experience)
• Medical Lab Technician experience within the last year
