Required Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Valid RN license in California
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (1 year of experience)
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- 1 year of clinical Registered Nurse experience in specialty areas
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Clinical Nurse Specialist/Nurse Practitioner certification
Role Overview
- Provides and coordinates patient care in the PACU
- Performs nursing assessments, care planning, discharge planning, and patient/family teaching
- Collaborates with physicians and other members of the care team
- May act as preceptor or charge nurse
- May be assigned to other nursing units as needed
