Work on a 28-bed Medical Surgical Stepdown Unit with a diverse patient population including general and vascular surgery, bariatric surgery, plastic surgery, trauma, and stroke patients.
Fast-paced, challenging environment focused on patient safety and quality care.
Patient-centered nursing with emphasis on evidence-based and holistic care.
Active Unit Based Council promoting teamwork and a positive work environment.
Strong interdisciplinary collaboration using clinical pathways, patient education, and interactive communication.

Provide care as a Cardiovascular Registered Nurse using clinical judgment to diagnose and treat patient responses to actual or potential health conditions.
Care for patients undergoing procedures such as PTCA, stents, TAVR, MitraClip, bi-ventricular pacemakers, and post-open heart surgery (18-24 hours post-op).
Manage patients with congestive heart failure and electrophysiology studies.
Participate in clinical trials managed by the research department.
The unit has received recognition for excellence in critical care nursing and cardiac care.

Strict 3-strike attendance policy: termination after 3 absences or being more than 20 minutes late for scheduled shifts, unless excused for communicable disease or hospitalization with supporting evidence.
Policy effective starting 6/1/2024.

Note: Local travelers (within 35 miles) are subject to a reduced travel rate.
