Registered Nurse – ER (Travel/Contract)
Location: Centralia, Washington
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking experienced ER Registered Nurses for night shifts on a travel/contract basis. The role involves working in a high-volume emergency department with a patient ratio of approximately 4:1 and handling around 95 patients per day.
Shift Details
- Night shift: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM (12-hour shifts)
- Facility expects a minimum of 4 shifts per month
- Weekend shift differential available
- Pre-booking available
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Washington
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Certifications:
- ACLS (American Heart Association)
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Orientation
- Patient Care Orientation held bi-weekly on Tuesdays, 9:15 AM to 4:30 PM
- Unit-specific orientation at the facility based on availability
- Additional 2 hours of required modules
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID and Social Security card required
- Background check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in the past 7 years, updated annually
- Education verification required (nursing degree)
- Drug screening (9-panel) within 12 months of start
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
- Immunizations and health screenings required:
- TDAP (within 10 years) or declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
- Seasonal flu vaccine or declination (required during flu season)
- COVID vaccination documentation preferred (declinations accepted)
- Respiratory safety clearance required annually for travel candidates
- Fit mask testing required for travel candidates, updated annually
Additional Requirements
- Completion of annual regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via the agency LMS system
- WA State Patrol background search required within 90 days of start
- Multi-state licensed nurses working in Washington must complete demographic attestation forms
- Must provide a passport-style photo for badge issuance
- Must comply with facility dress code: scrubs should be clean, tasteful, and free of holes or excessive wrinkles

- Providence separation period: 3 months before re-hire eligibility
- Floating policy acknowledgment required
