Work Schedule

• Night shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (17:45 - 6:15)
• Weekend requirement: Every 3rd weekend (Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday depending on rotation)
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week

Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association

Licensure

• Active Registered Nurse license valid in Missouri
• Pending Missouri license accepted
• Primary source verification required (NURSYS for Missouri licenses)

Scheduling & Floating

• No on-call requirement
• No floating outside scope of practice
• Block scheduling not accommodated
• Local radius rule: candidates must be outside 75 miles (no locals accepted)

Background & Compliance Requirements

• Government-issued ID required (e.g., driver’s license or state ID)
• Criminal background check within 6 months (7-year search including statewide, nationwide, and international if applicable)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required quarterly
• Education verification of highest nursing degree required before start
• Fingerprinting required for Illinois long-term care or rehab units (not applicable here)
• State-specific searches and registries required for Missouri placements
• Drug testing within 1 year of start, including a comprehensive panel (amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, cocaine, methadone, opiates, oxycodone, PCP)
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask testing (N95) required and must be renewed annually; onsite fit testing available if needed
• Immunizations and health screenings required:

  • Tdap vaccine or declination (expires every 10 years)
  • Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year (two-step PPD or equivalent)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination/declination (with restrictions for certain units)
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Sept 30 - Apr 1)
• HIPAA acknowledgement, confidentiality form, latex allergy questionnaire, hand hygiene, fingernail, and dress code policies must be reviewed and signed prior to start
• Regulatory compliance education and orientation modules required annually via online platform
