ICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Position

Location: Greensburg, Pennsylvania
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Rotating shifts: Day (3x12 hours, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) and Night (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
• 36 hours per week

Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – AHA or RQI accepted, front and back of card required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or RQI accepted
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – AHA or RQI accepted, front and back of card required
• NIH Stroke Certification – Must be updated annually
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) – Required if assigned to ER or Behavioral Health units

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
• Minimum of 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• PALS certification
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Requirements

• Emergency contact form required prior to start
• Two professional references within 3 years for travel or acute care roles
• Annual skills checklist required
• Facility photo for badge required

Notes

• Fingerprinting process is managed through Pennsylvania Department of Human Services with specific instructions for pickup and verification
• Flu vaccination or documented declination required during flu season (Oct 1 – Apr 1)
• Medication and pharmacology competency exams required as applicable, with minimum passing scores

This position is ideal for experienced ICU Registered Nurses comfortable with rotating 12-hour shifts and meeting comprehensive credentialing and compliance requirements.
