Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Evening (5 days a week, 8 hours per day, 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM)

Job Description
- Position: Sterile Processing Tech
- Start Date: ASAP
- On-Call: Not required
- Local candidates residing within 50 miles are not eligible for this travel contract
- First-time travelers accepted
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician
- Experience as a Sterile Processing Technician within the last year
- Certification required: CBSPD or CRCST

- Total Staffed Beds: 325
- Electronic Health Record System: EPIC
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Social Security Card (as applicable for I9 and state-specific searches)
- Background Check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years; must be updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start, updated monthly
- Education Verification required for all candidates
- WA State Patrol Search (WATCH) required within 90 days of start for Washington placements
- Physical Exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO, indicating fitness for duty
- 9 Panel Drug Screen within 12 months of start
- Immunizations and Health Requirements:
- TDAP vaccine within 10 years or declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer or declination
- Hepatitis B vaccination series or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer or declination
- Seasonal Flu vaccine during flu season or declination
- COVID vaccination record preferred; declinations accepted with adherence to masking policies
- Respiratory Safety Clearance required annually for travel candidates
- Fit Mask test required annually for travel candidates (on-site testing available if needed)
Training & Competency Requirements
- Annual completion of regulatory and specialty-specific training modules via LMS (Workramp)
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam as applicable
- Competency exams required as applicable by profession/specialty
- Epic training transcripts required (Sterile Processing Techs provide screenshot of MyApplications page)
References & Employment History
- Minimum of 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
- Employment application covering at least the last 5 years of employment with month/year format for dates
- Work History Verification required if exceptions to reference requirements are requested
Additional Notes
- Float Policy: May be required to float to other nearby facilities within the system
- Badge photo required (passport style with neutral background)
- No on-call duties
- Locals within 50 miles are not eligible for this travel contract
