Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (Night Shift)

Location: Bellevue, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (18:45 – 07:15)

Job Description

• Emergency Room nursing position requiring 3 years of nursing experience for automatic offer consideration; minimum 2 years experience required to be screened for review.
• Prior travel nursing experience is required.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system is required.
• No block scheduling; must be available for the specified night shifts.
• Return to work (RTO) required within 5 days or less, no exceptions.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington state.
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year.
• Current AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification.
• Current AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Valid government-issued Driver’s License.
• Prior travel nursing experience.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system.

Competencies & Exams

• Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (required for RNs).
• Competency Exam with minimum score of 85%.
• Patient Restraints Competency Exam (required for all except student practical trainees).
• Core Competency Exams (Parts I, II, III) annually with minimum score of 85%.
• OSHA mandatory training annually with minimum score of 85%.
• IV Therapy/Infusion Exam (required for RNs working in IV Therapy).
• NIH Stroke Certification required for CCU, Float Pool, and ED nurses (valid through AHA, APEX, or NIHSS).

Additional Facility Requirements

• Completion of facility-specific modules assigned after orientation; must be completed within the first week or risk removal from schedule.
• Review and sign facility policies including:

  • Code of Conduct
  • Applicant Disclosure Statement
  • Confidentiality Policy
  • Internet Usage Agreement
  • Appearance and Dress Code guidelines
• Annual CMS Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (FWA) training certification required.
• Hepatitis B and Flu vaccine declination forms required if applicable.

Notes

• IV Certification will be completed onsite for RNs working in IV Therapy; no prior collection needed.
• Start dates available: July 20, August 3, August 17.
• No block scheduling; strict adherence to night shift schedule.
• Return to work required within 5 days or less after contract end, no exceptions.

This position is ideal for experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurses with prior travel experience who are comfortable working night shifts and meeting comprehensive credentialing and compliance requirements.
