Position Details

Role: MRI Technologist
Shift: 5x8, Friday to Monday, Graveyard shift (9:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
Start Date: January 13, 2026
On Call: None
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Requirements

Licensure:
- New York State Radiologic Technologist or Nuclear Medicine License with injection certification required
Experience:
- Minimum 2+ years MRI experience preferred
Geographic Restriction:
- No local candidates within 75 miles

ACLS (AHA Provider/Instructor/RQI acceptable)
BLS (AHA Provider/Instructor/RQI acceptable)

NIH Stroke Certification (annual update)
Tech Certification Verification (within 30 days of start)
Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement (required)
State License Verification (Primary Source within 30 days of start)
NURSYS Verification (for RN, LPN/LVN, AP within 30 days of start)

Background and Compliance Checks

7-year criminal background check (felony checks) within 3 months of start
EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 3 months of start and monthly thereafter
HHS/OIG check within 3 months of start and monthly thereafter
Foreign equivalency education evaluation if applicable
Education verification from primary source (no hard copy degrees)
Transcript/Diploma if no education verification on file

Health and Safety Requirements (Must be completed within 5 days of contract signing)

Physical exam (within 1 year, updated annually)
Fit mask test (within 1 year, updated annually)
Negative TB test or chest X-ray (within 1 year)
TB Questionnaire (in lieu of annual TB test renewal)
Immunizations:
- Rubeola (Measles) - positive titer or 2 vaccines
- Mumps - positive titer or 2 vaccines
- Rubella - positive titer or 1 MMR/Rubella vaccine
- Hepatitis B - positive titer, completed series, or declination
- Varicella - positive titer, 2 vaccines, or documented history
Drug testing (within 30 days of start)
Seasonal flu vaccination or signed declination (required during flu season)
Eye exam (Snellen, within 1 year)
COVID vaccination copy preferred but not required

Competency Requirements

Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (as required)
Color Blind Testing (required once)
Competency Exam (as required by profession/specialty)
