Mammography Tech - Travel/Contract

Location: Worcester, Massachusetts
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Work primarily at one location with some floating to other nearby campuses (within ~20 minutes).
• Units include diagnostics, general screenings, newly diagnosed patients, and cancer screenings.
• Shifts vary by location and may include:

  • 7:45 AM – 4:15 PM
  • 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Some Saturdays required, no fixed weekend rotation.
• Scheduling is based on unit needs; no block schedules available.
• Charting system: Epic.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Mammography Technologist license in Massachusetts
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist
• Mammography Technologist experience within the last year

Additional Requirements

• Background check including 7-year criminal history, education verification, and other standard screenings required within 30 days of start.
• Physical exam within 12 months prior to start, including physician statement of fitness without restrictions.
• Drug testing within 30 days of start.
• Immunizations or valid declinations required for:

  • COVID-19 (most recent vaccine or declination)
  • Flu (seasonal vaccine or declination)
  • MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, TDAP (declinations not accepted for Pediatrics, Maternity, NICU)
• TB testing: Two PPDs or equivalent within required timeframes; positive TB requires chest X-ray and questionnaire.
• Pass required competency exams including medication and EKG/dysrhythmia exams as applicable.
• Must provide 2 professional references within 3 years.
• Employment application must cover 7 years with explanations for gaps over 30 days.
• Skills checklist required prior to start and updated annually.

Work Environment

• Floating between multiple campuses possible depending on unit needs and experience.
• Work involves diagnostic and screening mammography services.

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not required for this position.
• No block scheduling; flexibility required.
• Manager will discuss specific location and shift details during interview.
