Physical Therapist - Inpatient Rehab

Location: Lancaster, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Shift: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM (negotiable)
• Weekend Requirement: One weekend per month
• On-call: No
• Floating: Yes, may need to float within scope to meet facility needs or between like units

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in South Carolina
• Experience in an inpatient setting
• Ability to float within scope between like units and/or sister facilities

Additional Information

• Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Facility uses Epic for charting
• No parking cost
• Travelers should be aware of possible emergency response assignments during hurricane season (June through November)

Compliance and Documentation Requirements

• Proof of work eligibility (I-9) and valid driver’s license/state ID
• Background check including 7 years of history and various federal/state registries
• Physical exam within one year attesting ability to meet physical demands
• Immunizations and health screenings including:

  • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years or declination)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start
  • Hepatitis B titer or vaccination series (or declination)
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella immunity or vaccination
  • Varicella immunity or vaccination
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or medical/religious exemption (required during flu season)
• 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
• COVID-19 vaccination highly preferred; declination form required if not vaccinated
• Clinical references (2) and employment application/resume
• Skills checklist updated annually
• Facility-specific orientation modules and safety acknowledgments must be completed prior to start
• Passport-style photo for badge

Notes

• First-time travelers accepted if they have prior inpatient experience
• Floating may be required within similar units
• Facility-specific onboarding includes mandatory online modules (~2 hours) before orientation
• Travelers must upload vaccination records and complete all required documentation before starting
