Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical
Location: Lexington, Kentucky (Off-campus ambulatory cardiology clinic in Mount Vernon, KY)
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 17 weeks (approximately 4 months)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Job Description
Provide disease-specific patient care for patients with serious acute and/or chronic health conditions or those seeking wellness maintenance. Responsibilities include skilled assessments, care planning and implementation, patient education, and clinical evaluation/interventions. Work collaboratively in a busy ambulatory care setting focused on quality, safety, and patient-centered care. Knowledge of nursing policies, protocols, and procedures is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kentucky
- Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Cardiology experience
